The Series 900 RTU Gate Controller is designed to control an irrigation gate or other similar open water system gate to control a local or remote water level or flow. The inputs to the controller can be level or flow. The controller will provide OPEN/CLOSE commands for the motor controls. An operator interface terminal is used to read system parameters and insert new setpoint values.

A Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) provides the SCADA master station with remote monitoring and control capabilities by transmitting and receiving over commonly available communications media – 2-wire circuits, dedicated phone lines, DSL, radio, wireless, etc. Licensed radios in the VHF, UHF, and 900 MHz bands are utilized as well as non-licensed spread spectrum and Ethernet radios.
